Canvas
Photos are first printed directly onto canvas. Next, several coats of lacquer are applied to the print. The print is then stretched and stapled onto a wood stretcher frame. This type of print looks beautiful and complete without a traditional frame. However, a floating frame adds an elegant finished quality to the print.
The canvas print has excellent detail and the canvas adds texture to the image. In some cases this makes the image look like it has been painted and in other cases gives the image a three dimensional feel.
Acrylic
My image is first printed on professional grade paper. Then the face of the print is mounted directly to the acrylic. The result allows for optimal vibrancy, color accuracy and longevity.
Unlike traditional glass, where light simply passes through, the light refracts within the acrylic creating tremendous vibrancy particularly when paired with metallic paper and overhead lighting. Since the image is printed on photo paper the definition of the image is not degraded with this technique.
Metal
In this method, the image is printed directly onto aluminum with a dye sublimation process. The dye is infused into the surface of aluminum, for an archival quality photograph that will last you a long, long time.
The sublimation dye is also semi-transparent allowing the luminosity of the material behind it to shine through. Coupled with the coating, this gives the image the illusion of depth and vibrancy.
